Top 10 Pest Control Marketing Agencies to Consider

Ten companies that market pest control businesses, what each one says it does, and the questions worth asking before you hand over your website.

Top 10 Pest Control Marketing Agencies to Consider

Pest control is a recurring revenue business dressed up as a service business. One termite call can turn into a plan that renews every year, which is why the companies selling marketing to you are so eager. Search for help and you will find a hundred of them, most of them promising the same things in the same words. We cover pest control website design in its own post.

This is a list of ten worth looking at. Being straight with you first: it is our blog, we are on it, and we put ourselves at number one. Everything written about the other nine comes from their own websites. No scores, no awards, no numbers we cannot stand behind, and nothing unkind about anyone. Read the entries, then read the questions at the end, because those matter more than the order.

What a pest control owner should actually check

  • Do they understand recurring plans? Quarterly and annual plans are the point of the business. A site built only around one-off extermination jobs leaves the better money on the table.
  • A page per pest. Termites, bed bugs, roaches, ants, mosquitoes, rodents, wildlife. People search by the thing in their house, not by the word "pest control".
  • Seasonality. Mosquito season, termite swarms, rodents in autumn. Those pages have to exist before the season, not during it.
  • Who owns the website? Ask before anything else. If the site is on a proprietary platform, leaving means starting over.
  • Who writes the words? A pest page that reads like a brochure converts worse than one that answers the questions people are too embarrassed to ask.
  • Commercial as well as residential. Restaurants, schools and property managers search differently, and most pest sites ignore them completely.

1. DevignSol

{{image:devignsol}}

We design and build websites and do the search work behind them for local service businesses. We are not a marketing agency. We do not run ads, manage social accounts or send email campaigns, and hosting is not part of what we sell.

What we bring to a pest control company is the part of the job that decides whether anything else works: the website, and the search work that feeds it.

  • The website comes first. Website design and development is the base everything else stands on. Search decides who arrives; the site decides who gets in touch.
  • A page per pest, not one services page. That is the structure behind a pest control website, and it is what pest control SEO needs in order to have something to rank.
  • Every town you treat. Service area coverage and the map pack through Local SEO, because almost all of this traffic is somebody nearby on a phone.
  • Then the gap between a visit and an inquiry, which is conversion work: the forms, the buttons, the order of the page, the plan pricing people are trying to understand.
  • You own all of it. WordPress, your content, your domain. If you leave, it goes with you and keeps working.
  • No long contracts. Which also means we have to keep earning it.

Best for: pest control companies that want a website they own, built around the pests and the plans they actually sell, with the search work to match.

2. Coalmarch

{{image:coalmarch}}

Coalmarch is a Raleigh company that presents itself as a growth partner for pest and lawn care businesses, and those two industries are the whole of its focus. It describes digital advertising, search optimization, branding and conversion work as one program rather than separate services, with a strategist assigned to each account.

It also talks about integrating with the field software pest companies already run, which is a fair sign it has spent time inside this industry rather than next to it.

Best for: established pest or lawn companies that want one partner handling the whole marketing program.

3. Pesty Marketing

{{image:pesty}}

Pesty Marketing works with pest control companies and nothing else, and says so on the front page. The three services it lists are SEO, pay-per-click and web design for pest control operators.

It is open about aiming at larger, growth-minded operators, and points smaller companies towards its free newsletter, podcast and blog instead. That kind of honesty about fit is unusual and worth something.

Best for: bigger pest control operators who want a specialist running search and paid together.

4. Rhino Pest Control Marketing

{{image:rhino}}

Rhino Pest Control Marketing is a Las Vegas agency built for pest control companies, with the stated aim of making a company the dominant name in its local market. Its list runs wide: websites, local SEO, directory listings, Google Ads, content, social, reviews, email and sales training.

It notes that many owners come from the field rather than from sales or marketing, and it publishes a podcast and a free guide aimed at exactly that reader.

Best for: owners who want marketing and sales coaching from the same place.

5. Pest Control SEO Guys

{{image:pestcontrolseoguys}}

Pest Control SEO Guys describes itself as the marketing team that works with pest control companies and nobody else. The work it lists is local SEO and Google Business Profile, organic SEO and seasonal pest content, website design, and paid search.

Two things stand out on its own page: one client per market, so it will not take your competitor down the road, and month-to-month terms rather than a year signed up front.

Best for: companies that want exclusivity in their market written into the arrangement.

6. Funnel Boost Media

{{image:funnelboost}}

Funnel Boost Media is a San Antonio agency working across home services, with a section of its site given over to pest control. It describes search work aimed at pest type, treatment and city searches, local map visibility, paid search and Local Services Ads, and websites built to be fast on a phone with the number and the quote form kept in view.

It presents those pieces as one system rather than services bought separately, which is roughly how we think about it too.

Best for: pest companies that want search and paid handled together by a home services generalist.

7. 97th Floor

{{image:ninetyseventhfloor}}

97th Floor is a larger agency with a dedicated pest control page, where it lists advertising, SEO with keyword research and local work, design meant to build credibility, and content across blog, email and social.

Pest control sits alongside quite different industries on its site, from software to manufacturing, so it is a broad agency with a pest offering rather than a pest specialist.

Best for: larger or multi-location pest companies wanting a full creative and media team.

8. Lemonade Stand

{{image:lemonadestand}}

Lemonade Stand is a full-service digital marketing agency with a pest control page among its industry sections, next to HVAC, plumbing, legal and others. It lists SEO, paid search, social, content, reputation work, website design and video production.

Its own pitch leans on month-to-month service, a dedicated account manager, and being less driven by sales quotas than the agencies it compares itself to.

Best for: owners who want a wide service list without a long contract.

9. WebFX

{{image:webfx}}

WebFX is one of the biggest full-service digital marketing agencies in the country, and it publishes a pest control section covering local SEO and Google Business Profile, Local Services Ads, geofencing for particular neighborhoods, website design, content, paid search and social.

It is built around its own reporting technology, so expect a lot of dashboards. Big agencies suit some owners and not others; that is a preference, not a flaw.

Best for: companies that want scale, process and heavy reporting.

10. RYNO Strategic Solutions, formerly Blue Corona

{{image:bluecorona}}

Blue Corona has worked with contractors since 2008 and now says on its own site that it has merged with RYNO Strategic Solutions and operates under the RYNO brand. Pest control is named directly in its list of industries.

The services listed run from website design and paid media to SEO, Google Business Profile, call answering, chat and revenue reporting. It also states plainly that clients own their website outright, which is the right answer to the question we tell everyone to ask.

Best for: pest companies that want lead generation and lead handling from one place.

Agency, freelancer or someone in-house?

A freelancer is usually cheaper and often very good at one thing. The risk is the holiday, the illness and the day they get a full-time job, because there is nobody behind them.

Hiring in-house makes sense once the marketing spend is large enough that a salary is the smaller number. Below that, you are paying someone to learn on your budget.

An agency gives you a team and a process. The trade is that you are one account among many, so the thing to look for is who actually does your work, not who sells it to you.

Questions before you sign

  • Who owns the website, the content and the domain if I leave? Ask for the answer in writing.
  • What exactly am I buying each month? Not goals, deliverables.
  • Who writes my pest pages? Ask to see one they wrote for a company like yours.
  • How long is the agreement and what does cancelling look like?
  • Will you take on my competitor in this town?
  • What happens in month one, and when should I expect to see anything? An honest answer here is slower than you want to hear.

Anyone who promises rankings or a set number of inquiries is guessing, and you should treat it that way. Nobody controls Google.

In short

The specialists on this list know pest control. The generalists bring scale. Either can work. What does not work is handing the whole thing over without knowing what is being built, who owns it, and what happens on the day you want to walk away.

Start with where you stand today. Our free SEO audit shows you how your current site looks to search engines before anybody sells you anything, and a care plan is worth asking about once the site is live.
