Top 10 Law Firm Marketing Agencies to Consider

Ten companies that work with law firms, what each one says it does, and what a firm owner should check before handing over the website.

Top 10 Law Firm Marketing Agencies to Consider

Search for help with a law firm website and you will find hundreds of companies, plus a stack of lists ranking them. Most of those lists were written by one of the companies on them. This one was too, so here is the honest version up front. We are on it, we put ourselves first because it is our blog, and everything said about the other nine comes from their own websites.

There are no scores, awards or made up numbers below. Each entry says what the company tells the world it does, plus who it seems to suit. The rest is your call, and the questions near the end are worth asking on every sales call you take.

What a firm owner should actually check

  • Who owns the website when the contract ends? Some legal platforms rent you the site rather than sell it.
  • Do they build a page per practice area? Someone searching for a DUI lawyer and someone searching for a divorce lawyer want different pages.
  • Who writes the words, and who checks them? You are responsible for what your site says, so you will be reviewing it either way.
  • Do they know your state's advertising rules exist? They do not need to be lawyers, but they should expect you to have a say before anything goes live.
  • What happens on a phone? Most people looking for a lawyer are on one, often in a stressful moment.
  • How long is the contract, and what does leaving look like?
  • Will they work for the firm across the street at the same time?

1. DevignSol

The DevignSol homepage, a web design and SEO company for local service businesses
DevignSol.com

We design and build websites and do the search work behind them for local service businesses. We are not a marketing agency. We do not run ads, manage social accounts or send email campaigns, and hosting is not part of what we sell.

Being straight about the rest of it: law is not a field we have worked in yet, so you will not find law firm projects on our site, and we are not going to pretend otherwise on a list we wrote. What we bring is the part of the job that is the same for any local practice, done properly.

  • The website comes first. Website design and development is the base everything else stands on. Search decides who arrives; the site decides who gets in touch.
  • A page per practice area, not a list. That is how we would build a law firm website, and it is what law firm SEO needs to have something to rank.
  • The map and the city searches through Local SEO, since most people want a lawyer near them.
  • Then the gap between a visit and a call, which is conversion work: the contact form, the phone button, the order of the page.
  • You own all of it. WordPress, your content, your domain. If you leave, it goes with you and keeps working.
  • No long contracts and no lock-in, which also means we have to keep earning it.

Best for: small firms that want a website they own and the search work to go with it, and who would rather hear what a company has not done than be sold a story.

Best for: firms whose priority is showing up in local search and on the map.

10. LawLytics

The LawLytics homepage

LawLytics is a different kind of option. It is a website platform for law firms built around AI, rather than an agency, and has offered web help to lawyers since 2012.

Its software builds the site, drafts the copy in the firm's voice and suggests what to add next. It stresses that the firm keeps final approval over everything published.

Best for: hands-on lawyers who would rather run their own site with good tools than hire a team.

Agency, freelancer or someone in-house?

Not every firm needs an agency. A good freelancer can build a sharp website and is usually quicker to reach, though everything stops if they do. An agency has more hands and more process, and you are a smaller voice in the room.

Hiring in-house makes sense once there is enough work to fill a week, which usually means several offices or a busy intake team. Most small firms end up with a mix, and that is fine as long as somebody clearly owns the website.

Questions to ask before you sign

  • If I leave in a year, what do I keep? The site, the content, the domain, the Google profile. Get the answer in writing.
  • Who writes the practice area pages, and when do I review them?
  • What is actually done in month one? A vague answer here usually stays vague.
  • Can I see three firm websites you built that are still live? Open them on your phone and try to get in touch.
  • Who do I speak to when something breaks, and how fast?
  • Do you work with other firms in my city and practice area?

Nobody can promise you rankings or new clients, and an answer that does should end the call rather than start the contract.

Where the pieces fit

Whoever you pick, the order of the work matters more than the name on the invoice. The website is the base, because it is what a worried person judges you by. SEO earns the practice area pages their place in search, local search handles the map and the near me searches, and conversion work deals with everything between landing on the page and getting in touch.

Around that sit AI search optimization for the assistants people now ask, landing pages where traffic is being sent somewhere on purpose, and a care plan so the site does not quietly fall behind. You can buy those from one company or several. You just should not skip the first one.

In short

Shortlist three, open the firm websites they built on your own phone, and try to reach the lawyer as a client would. That one test tells you more than any list, including this one.
